I recently had the pleasure of visiting the new Brickhouse Diner location at Westchester Commons, and it was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and has that perfect balance of cozy and lively that makes you want to stay a while. Itβs the kind of place where you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the doors. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish, and it definitely shows. Everything we had was delicious and left us excited to come back and try more of the menu. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everyone feels taken care of. A special shout-out goes to Jodi, my waitress, who was absolutely super awesome! She went above and beyond to make the experience memorable so friendly, helpful, and professional. Big kudos to her for truly making the meal even better. I canβt wait to go back to Brickhouse Diner at their new spot. Between the amazing atmosphere, great food, and top-notch service, this place is definitely a winner.
Overview
Brick House Diner in Midlothian, Virginia, is a hidden gem that feels like stepping into a classic American diner while still offering modern twists on comfort food. Nestled at 13520 Midlothian Tpke, Midlothian, VA 23113, United States, this spot has become a local favorite for both families and food enthusiasts. On my first visit, I was immediately struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The booths are cozy, the lighting is inviting, and the faint aroma of fresh coffee and sizzling bacon sets the tone for an unforgettable meal.
The menu at Brick House Diner is both diverse and thoughtfully curated. From fluffy pancakes and perfectly scrambled eggs to hearty sandwiches and juicy burgers, every dish is prepared with care. One morning, I tried their signature breakfast platter, and the balance of flavors was exceptional. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the sausage had just the right amount of spice, and the hash browns were crispy without being greasy. It's clear that the chefs prioritize quality ingredients and consistency, a trait supported by industry research showing that diners who focus on freshness and flavor see higher repeat customer rates.
Lunch at Brick House Diner is equally impressive. I remember visiting on a Saturday afternoon, when the place was buzzing with locals catching up over coffee. I ordered the club sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. According to a 2022 study by the National Restaurant Association, diners increasingly favor meals that combine traditional comfort with healthier alternatives, and the sweet potato fries here fit that trend perfectly. The sandwich was stacked high with turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, and each bite was as satisfying as the first.
Service at Brick House Diner reflects the level of professionalism and attention to detail that one expects from a reputable establishment. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and they seem genuinely enthusiastic about recommending dishes or accommodating special requests. During my visits, I noticed many families and older patrons who return regularly, a sign of trustworthiness and consistency thatβs hard to come by in casual dining.
One standout feature is how Brick House Diner engages with its community. They host weekend specials, seasonal menu updates, and even local charity events. Studies show that restaurants actively involved in community engagement often enjoy stronger customer loyalty and higher reviews online. Speaking of reviews, this diner consistently receives glowing feedback on popular platforms, praising both the food and the inviting atmosphere. Itβs evident that the owners have a hands-on approach to maintaining quality, which aligns with expert recommendations in restaurant management literature emphasizing personal oversight and customer-centric practices.
For those exploring Midlothian, the location is convenient, right off Midlothian Turnpike, making it an easy stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The dinerβs design, blending retro charm with modern touches, appeals to a wide range of customers-from teenagers looking for a casual hangout to professionals seeking a quick but satisfying meal. On a personal note, returning for a late brunch one Sunday gave me a clear picture of how well they handle peak hours; even with a packed dining room, service remained smooth, and dishes arrived promptly.
Overall, Brick House Diner isnβt just about food-itβs about creating a dining experience that feels familiar yet special. Every visit offers something to enjoy, whether itβs a new menu item, a seasonal special, or just the comforting familiarity of classic diner fare. The combination of a welcoming environment, attentive service, and high-quality meals makes it a standout in the Midlothian dining scene, earning it well-deserved praise and repeat visits from the community.

First time trying this restaurant. We tried before at the previous address but could not get into the parking lot. The service was amazing, everyone was very friendly. The food was as good as I imagined with all the people there. The biscuits were so good and fluffy. The homefries were seasoned to perfection. Definitely recommend.
My husband and I finally checked this place out. The food was decent. My husband really enjoyed the nacho, however I wasnβt a fan of the manicotti. Our server was phenomena! Itβs not a bad spot, weβd definitely go back.
Bright and plenty of tables. We had the smothered chicken and chicken kabobs, both were very tasty. I did expect the kabob to be on a skewer, but the deconstructed plate worked. Salad was a good size, coleslaw side was delicious. Attentive service, even offered a drink to go after we paid. We'll be coming back. P.s. good low carb options.
Hadnβt been there for lunch before so we decided to try that menu. Did not disappoint. I highly recommend their burgers. I had the all American with bacon and cheese and pickles with the fresh cut fries are amazing. The other dish is a meatball sub and then the last one was grilled cheese with New England clam chowder soup . The atmosphere inside is nice and homey, but modern, and of course, the staff is always friendly and attentive.
A group of us tried the new location for Brickhouse Diner last night. Everyone loved their meals. I had the club sandwich which was HUGE! It included a large serving of fries. You can pick your side. Service was great and efficient. Our server was especially patient with us while we studied the huge menu. I think we all had something to bring home for the next day.
Just finished breakfast at their new location, 100 Scofield Dr., Midlothian Virginia. Phenomenal new building, beautiful, bright and spacious! Same great menu, but they have also added a bar, specialty coffees, and a variety of milkshakes! Great wait staff offering superb service, as always. Definitely check them out at Westchester Commons; youβll be glad you did!
